- The Coach tag that hangs from the metal thingy is a KEY CHAIN people, not a bag accessory.
- The tag on the cuff of your new coat needs to be CUT OFF.
- If there is a little X of thread on the back of your coat/jacket/skirt/blazer/etc CUT IT! It's a vent/pleat/etc. It's meant to be opened and you look ridiculous with it still sewn shut. ARG I hate that. I'm afraid to get attacked on the subway or I'd rip them open on my way to work.
- Check your tag on the way out of the house. Not hard. If you're wearing clothes you should care how you look and your tag hanging out is just sloppy. Be especially careful if you layer to check all tags at all layers
- Those hang-up-your-skirt thingys MUST BE TUCKED IN or CUT OFF. If you truly need them to hang up your skirt, ummm, get skirt hangars. They just stretch the skirts out weird. This is even more impt in a dress. TUCK THEM INTO YOUR BRA if you have to. You look a mess when they're hanging out.
- I've been victim to some of these things so while I do choose to judge (It's my prerogative[click on "listen to samples"]), I know some are difficult to avoid.
So, if you see someone coming at you with scissors on the train before you freak out. See if it's me and if I'm trying to save you from a definite clothing error.
